☀️ Why I Started Mother Honestly
I started Mother Honestly while I was breastfeeding my son. I was so scared and so worried about going back into a workplace that wasn’t wired to care for parents - one that penalizes women for birthing, and men for taking their parental leave. A workplace where I had to get better at hiding my biggest accomplishment - a mother.
I knew there had to be a better way.
Three months later, we held our very first conference in downtown Detroit, where 300+ parents and caregivers gathered to reimagine a workplace that allows us to effectively be parents and professionals.
It was the beginning of something remarkable. Since then, we’ve support over 50,000 parents and caregivers, reach millions worldwide, expanded outside of the United States, and continue to grow in leaps and bounds.
And we are just getting started.
I want to invite you to join this movement, and I hope you will say yes to attending the Care At Work Summit in NYC on October 26th, where we are bringing together parents, caregivers, professionals, workplace leaders and more to offers solutions that address critical topics impacting our lives and today's workplace: productivity, flexibility, caregiving, and inclusive leadership.
