Flourish At Work: Redesigning The Workplace For Women, Parents, and Caregivers
Work as we know it is forever changed by COVID-19. There is no going back to the pre-pandemic workplace that only worked for a few of us. The future of work must include women, parents, and caregivers and we are so excited to share our very first panel at Start To Flourish on November 4th, 2022 at the Industry City, NYC.
On this panel, we are excited to introduce these amazing leaders who are leading the conversation about the future of work:
Natalie Mayslich, President, Consumer at Care.com
Natalie Mayslich was appointed President, Consumer for Care.com in April 2022. In that capacity, she is responsible for expanding, building and delivering the Company’s portfolio of care products and services for consumers and enterprise clients across multiple verticals including childcare, senior care, housekeeping, and tutoring, among others. Previously, she was General Manager, Consumer and Enterprise.
Sarah Hardy, COO and Co-Founder at Bobbie
Sarah Hardy is the COO and Co-Founder of Bobbie. She leads People, Customer Support, Supply Chain Opps, and the company’s Future of Work initiatives including a first-of-its-kind parental leave policy and culture that supports working parents before, during, and after their leave. Hardy wrote Bobbie’s world-class policy that encourages parents to take up to 12 months of leave, to return to work on their own terms. Hardy calls BS on the myth that small companies can’t afford a best-in-class parental leave, and to take that one step further, open-sourced Bobbie’s policy via #TakeOurLeave, to give anyone the tools they need to follow in their footsteps.
Sascha Mayer, Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer at Mamava
Sascha Mayer is the co-founder and Chief Brand Officer (CBO) of Mamava, the creator of freestanding lactation spaces for breastfeeding on the go. Sascha is a recognized expert on lactation space design, family-friendly workplace policies, and social entrepreneurial leadership. Her career in design started at JDK (now Solidarity of Unbridled Labour) where Mamava was incubated. As Strategy Director, Sascha designed and facilitated multidisciplinary creative-collaborative sessions with brands including HP, Levi’s, Lululemon, Nike Women, and Seventh Generation. Prior to joining Solidarity, Sascha served as assistant press secretary for former Congressman (now Senator) Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).
Abbey Carlton, Vice President, Social Impact at Indeed
Abbey Carlton is the Vice President of Social Impact at Indeed. Abbey is a leader committed to social impact. She has worked to expand economic opportunity for low-income workers, families and communities across tech, non-profits, philanthropy, government and academia. Indeed’s mission is to help people get jobs. As Indeed's first head of Social Impact, she leads the organization's global efforts to break down bias and barriers in hiring. Through product innovation, partnerships, and initiatives in Indeed communities, her global Social Impact team works to ensure ALL people have access to opportunity.

Sheela earned her BA from Stanford University and MBA from Harvard Business School and is the mother to two magical daughters.
